3 Good Health and
Well-being

This goal aims to reduce the maternal mortality, deaths from road accidents, preventable death of new borns and children and death caused from hazardous chemicals and pollution by 2030. It also targets to end the epidemics of AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria and other communicable diseases. Ensuring universal access to health care systems, strengthening the prevention and treatment of substance abuse are all part of this goal.

This goal also includes research and development of vaccines for communicable and non-communicable diseases, increase financing, recruiting and training of health workforce and strengthen capacity for the developing countries.

Science and technology can help tackle key sustainable development challenges.
