2 Zero Hunger

This goal targets to end hunger and malnutrition by the year 2030. It envisages ending all sort of malnutrition specially addressing the nutritional needs of the adolescent girls, pregnant and lactating mothers and older people.

It aims to double the agricultural production and the income for the small-scale food producers in the same period. Also to ensure sustainable food production systems that are adaptable to the changing climatic conditions and maintain genetic diversity of the seeds animals through soundly managed plant and seed banks at the national, regional and international levels. Ensure increase in investment and trade in agriculture and adopt measures to ensure proper functioning food commodity are all part of this goal.
